Cannot paste "500 mm" from Word

It drives me crazy.

I have some problems with one .doc file. When I try to copy it contents in FCKeditor nothing happens (as it has empty clipboard).

I found what part of text is guilty.
In that case it is "500 mm". When i paste it from that word file nothing happens. If i enter new line in front of it, or change any character, or just type "500 mm" - everything becomes ok.

What's problem? I have many such teaxts in that word file, so i cannot paste it. It is vary astonishing.
