Hi,
I recently started using CKEditor for personal projects and would like to consider using it for my clients' projects too.
All the websites I create for clients aren't encrypted or anything, and I was wondering what provisions I would need to make (if any) to use CKEditor as an option for WYSIWYG editors within the site.
More info: at this point I would only be integrating CKEditor into admin control panels as the sites' page editors
Please could someone assist me, as having read about the CDL, I don't think that applies to me?
Thanks,
Chuckun

Re: CKEditor License Limitations?
See this HOWTO article: http://docs.cksource.com/CKEditor_3.x/H ... ce_License
As long as you satisfy the terms of the Open Source license, you can use CKEditor for free.

Re: CKEditor License Limitations?
I have downloaded WYSIWYG extension for Mediawiki 1.17.1 but there are some functions not activated like
uploading images. We have created a wiki for educational purposes, our users' age will range from 20 to 80 years so we need a really friendly editor.
We don't mind to buy a license as long as it allows CKeditor full function but we'd like to know if it will work on
mediawiki.
I'm new here so I apologize in case I've written a post in the wrong section.
Thanks in advance,
Cristina
Re: CKEditor License Limitations?
Let's speak hypothetically for a moment for the best way to explain the sort of thing I mean: I want to be creating custom-made websites for people commercially. They pay me to create them a website. I wish to use CKEditor within some pages on the website, but would use it as-is, without modification, and at no point claiming CKeditor to be my own work. I would be charging one-off production fees for the website itsself, but obviously not for the inclusion of CKEditor.
The website I sell to the customer is uniquely theirs and they are free to modify it, sell-on as a one-time complete website, etc.. but they must not compile the website into a saleable script for redistribution..
Since I would not be modifying CKEditor in any way or claiming it to be in any way part of my work, or charging for it in any way, I assume I can therefore include CKeditor where necessary on my commercial one-off websites for my clients?
Thanks for your help!
