Background colour

Does the content entered/edited by FCKeditor use the background colour of what's underneath it when displayed on a page?

Or does FCKeditor force the content to use a background colour?

If I leave the content area colour white and enter text, but the page displaying the content has an object with a background colour CCCCCC, which will show behind the content?

Does the content entered/edited by FCKeditor use the background colour of what's underneath it when displayed on a page? Or how do I change the background colour of the content being edited so that the whole area has that colour, not just the area behind the text?
