Hello All...I have recently had my website updated and am just trying to learn all of the ins and outs of FCK editor. I admit that I am finding it cumbersome. Sigh. Be that as it may, I AM figuring out most of the functions. I have some existing pages that had bookmarks on them. For example, I have a page to which I add information as I get it. I had a bookmark jump with the text, "Click here to go to newly posted information." This allowed the visitor to jump down the page without having to scroll.
Since the site update, that link is "broken." I need to reinsert the bookmark (called an "anchor" in FCK editor), but I'm not seeing how to do that. With the old system I used to update the website, I just had to insert a bookmark on the word I wanted to jump to, and then link that to the prompting text.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Susan

Re: Adding a bookmark on a webpage
Perhaps whoever updated your website did not include the "anchor" button in the toolbar. Take a look at the FCKeditor demo with all the features.
In the second row of the demo editor, between the button for "Remove Link" and "Insert/Edit Image" is the "Insert/Edit Anchor" button. You should be able to add your "bookmark" from there. See if the same button is available in the editor on your website.

Glenn...
Thank you so much for your reply. Yes, the anchor button is there, but I can't figure out how to get the two phrases to "talk" to each other. I hope that makes sense! With my old editor (Front Page), I bookmarked the target text and then hyperlinked the other end to the bookmark. I'm just not seeing how to do that with FCK.
I'm sure it's simplistic and I'm just not "getting" it!

Re: Adding a bookmark on a webpage
Alternatively, you can try to do it manually via the HTML source.
The anchor tag would look something like this:
To link to it, the code for your hyperlink would like like this:
