I use fckeditor in an asp.net 1.1 web application that runs on a win2003 production server. It workes fine with firefox and ie6 but with ie7 we get an Access Denied error that comes from the file fckeditorcode_ie.js.
I use the latest version - 2.6.3
all users have upgraded to ie7 so we must fined a solution fast...

Re: Acess Denied on ie7
I am having this problem with network file system. I applied the patch but it's not working for network file system (with IE7).
Any idea?

Re: Acess Denied on ie7
when I run the demo on my dev xp pc from localhost it is OK, the problem occures when I run my asp.nt page with the control integrated into it.
I have the /fckeditor/ folder under my virtual directory root - I downloaded the last evening version. do I need to give It special permissions?
Re: Acess Denied on ie7
I have a html file, lets say abc.html. Below is the code:
<html>
<head>
<script type="text/javascript" src="fckeditor.js"></script>
</head>
<script language="JavaScript">
function ExecuteCommand( commandName )
{
var oEditor = FCKeditorAPI.GetInstance('FCKeditor1') ;
oEditor.Commands.GetCommand( commandName ).Execute() ;
}
function FCKeditor_OnComplete( editorInstance )
{
ExecuteCommand( 'FitWindow')
}
</script>
<body>
<script type="text/javascript">
var oFCKeditor = new FCKeditor( 'FCKeditor1' ) ;
oFCKeditor.Value = '' ;
oFCKeditor.BasePath = '' ;
oFCKeditor.Create() ;
</script>
<textarea name="textarea1" id="abc" style="visibility: hidden"></textarea>
</body>
</html>
This file resides inside 'fckeditor' directory where all the fckeditor files are stored. when i try to open it (by double clicking the html file) nicely renders fckeditor and everything works fine (lets say in machine A).
Now i make the 'fckdirectory' shared and when i try to open the html file (same html that worked) from another machine in the same network (lets say machine B), it gives "Permission Denied" error.
This is very very urgent issue. We have integrated fckeditor into our product. Customers are waiting for this. Please fix this ASAP.
