Looks very userful, but how do I run the test.aspx page?
I get an error on the first line that leads me to believe I need a test.cs file which I don't see.

You should correct it. (The next version will bring it corrected).
The other think to do is to copy FredCK.FCKeditor.dll to your web site bin directory. You can find it in the editor package over:
..\FCKEditor\_aspnet\FredCK.FCKeditor\bin\Release
If you are developing with Visual Studio.Net, instead of copy manually the file, you can create a local directory over you development computer with the latest version of the editor and then add a reference to the DLL file on your Web Application project. Visual Studio will automatically add a copy of the file into your project.
You should also customize your Visual Studio Toolbox, adding the FCKeditor web control found into this DLL.
I hope it helps. Let me now if you have problems,

RE: ASP.Net Sample
which files are required and where do they go.
the sample files are buried in the labyrinth of the download so it could be any of them
