Hi, I am and admitted newbie so forgive me if this is something so obvious that any fool know it but...
I have several thousand images and they are currently in a single directory. It is possible for me to assign 'long descriptions' that have some meaning but I see no mechanist in DNN to allow me to search by description. Does CKfinder have any capabilities which would allow me to find what I need in this mass of images?
Thank

Storing description of images would require some kind of a database. CKFinder is a pure file manager, which works using only a file system.
Theoretically, it could be possible to add a functionality to search for a file using some meta data, but it would always require writing a dedicated plugin for each system, where such metadata is stored.

Re: Is there a way to search my images by description?
I do find it hard to believe that such an obvious need does not seem to be met in the DNN community. Anyone who has more than a couple of hundred images mus also be suffering from my problem but i cannot seem to find something that solves the problem..... Oh well
Thanks again for the answers
