I've been trying very hard to install CKFinder lately but not having any luck. I'm wondering whether I should go ahead and purchase the product in order to get full support. Is there a different set of documentation, or do you just get individual attention from a support specialist?
thanks!
Pete

Hi Pete,
Hi Pete,
really sorry to hear that you did not manage to setup CKFinder by yourself. It would be great if you could point to sections of the documentation that are unclear to you or in any way lacking, we will be happy to improve them.
As for the support channel that comes with a license: you get full personal support from our QA/ CKFinder developers. They will be glad to assist you in the installation and configuration process as well as point to additional resources that you might have missed in your search.
Let me know if I can be of further assistance.

I'm not sure where I went
I'm not sure where I went wrong. I placed the CKFinder folder in the specified directory and configured the config.php file etc. I was unable to find an option to activate CKFinder in the admin screens. It should have appeared near CKEditor and it didn't. I will take another stab it it soon. Meanwhile, I am curious to know why I was unable to get CKEditor to accept images through direct URLs. CKEditor of course gives you an ability to upload an image by inserting a URL of an image on a server. I tested with this image, which displays in any browser:
http://plainview3d.com/drupal1/images/logo300.jpg
but the image would not import into a drupal page.
I have purchased the CKFinder license and will try that tomorrow. Thanks for your help.
