auto-generate multiple thumbnails

Hi all
Is there a way to automatically create multiple thumbnails of a given size? (maintaining aspect ratio of course)

I',m thinking an array somewhere in the configs? or a little overriding or even at worst a little core changing?

After you have uploaded an image you can choose resize option which lets you create 4 images (90x90, 120x120, 180x180 and your custom one).

Since you have written about thumbnails I'm not sure if this is what you have meant.

Could you please describe what you want to achieve in more detail?
