View Image problem

Hello,

We are currently evaluating CKFinder for purchase as a part of our system and I have been tasked with integrating it into CKEditor within our CMS. So far I have been able to configure most things and add access control and everything else. One issue still persists though and I can't seem to figure it out. When viewing an image the file seems to open in the same window instead of opening in a new window. Here are some images to try and illustrate the problem:





If I can get this resolved we'll be one step closer to purchase. Thanks.

What's your browser?

The default behavior of launching CKFinder should be to open a new window instead of a new tab, so I guess that the settings in your browser are forcing that, and it might be related to your main issue, because that image should have been opened in a new window.

No that's not it. If I change my browser settings to open in a new window instead the problem is worse, which is why this was brought to my attention. When it's a pop-up there is no back button so there is no way to get back to CKFinder. This is happening on IE9.

Yes, the problem can be reproduced in ckeditor.com/demo with IE8 and IE9: in the CKFinder popup, selecting the View option opens the image in the same window instead of opening a new tab.

I'm wanting to report it as a bug but the ticket system seems to be for CKEditor only...

Hello,

Any news about this issue ? I still have the problem, even with the last version of CKFinder. It's working fine with Chrome, but not with IE, image is displayed in same window, and when I go back, I've got a javascript error in CKfinder.html line 83: "Microsoft JScript runtime error: Unable to get value of the property 'CKEDITOR': object is null or undefined"

Are you using the PHP version of CKFinder?
Could you try the CKFinder for PHP 2.1 and let me know how it works for you?
