I've installed CKFinder on my site for a few days now and received some feedback regarding the user interface which I though I would pass on. In general I think it's been well received though.
1. A few people have been unable to figure out how to upload as they did not see the buttons at the top of the window. I think that the Upload button should be quite a bit bigger and more obvious. In addition when the gallery is empty there could be a message saying something along the lines of "To upload an image please click the 'Upload' button in the toolbar above".
2. People often don't realise you can right click something on a web page. Mac users usually don't have a right mouse key so it could be worth adding a delete/rename buttons to the toolbar.
3. Is there any chance of being able to set a maximum width for any image uploaded and then having the image scaled before it's saved? We get people regularly uploading huge images which are useless for the web and this would be a fantastic addition. Even better if people could crop and scale visually but I can appreciate that might be a fair amount of work?
4. The help page is way overcomplicated for such a simple application. I think a simple annotated diagram would be much more helpful to people.
Hope some of this helps.
