I would like to use CKFinder to select a destination folder for something instead of selecting a file. I am creating a backup of files and would like to use CKFinder to allow the user to choose where my system places the newly created backup archive file. So far it seems CKFinder only allows you to double click on "files" to select them. Is this possible?

See this: viewtopic.php?t=24199
At the moment it's not possible to use CKFinder as a folder selector. This feature has recently been requested and was added to the internal tracker. So far there is no ETA on it, though.

Or selecting multiple files? (preferably using shortcuts like ctrl + a ?)
Re: Selecting a Folder instead of a File
My own (simplified) hack for the same issue is to this:
In document head:
In HTML:
To use it, navigate to the folder then open the folder and select an item inside. When you do this, the filename portion of the path is stripped out leaving just the folder. Of course this means that the only way to choose an empty folder is to have to upload something (anything) to it before you can select it. Native functionality to accomplish this would be very much better.
Perhaps even worth the cost of the upgrade...?
Folder Chooser - any news on this request?
Hi again,
With IE10 out now and not working at all with version 1.4.2 which I obtained on OEM licence before the updates expired, I'm looking long and hard at the $990 I need to raise to go for the new CKFinder.
I know that I'm going to need to upgrade to get IE10 support, but If your brilliant programmers could find a better way to let me select a folder through their API rather than the ugly hack I proposed in this thread back in September, it would sure help encourage me to make paying for the update a higher priority.
Please could you ask them about this?
Many thanks in anticipation,
Martin Francis
