Resource Types

In the config.cfm file for CKFinder there are three resource types: files, images and flash. I understand where the images and flash types come into play with FCKEditor in that when you select Insert Image or Flash you are directed to the appropriate directory.

Where is the 'files' type used?

Is there a general file upload button that I am missing that uses this resource type?
