IIS might return a error if it doesn't recognize the extension of the file. You should verify first that directly requesting such a file works correctly
I've only seen this problem mentioned by you in three threads at the same time in just this forum. Which ones talk about this same problem of audio files with CKFinder that returns a 404 status?
I also can't recall here any report about problems uploading a certain type of files that weren't due to a misconfiguration or another problem at the server like a maximum file size that it wasn't reached for the other files.
So it would be better if you start explaining better how are you uploading the files (from CKEditor, from CKFinder), if the file is created by looking at the ftp after the upload, if the error happens with any browser, with other file sizes, etc...
Re: Problems upolading non-visual files
Thanks for your response, much appreciated. It's not an IIS issue because we are able to upload directly to the server ( any filetype ) via ftp.
After looking at some other discussion groups, it appears that this is a common problem that others are having as well.

Hi Alfonso,
You mentioned that you haven't heard of these issues before...

Re: Problems upolading non-visual files ( Audio )
Three posts, all about Drupal, but you mentioned config.asp, so are you using Drupal?
And you can bet that I don't follow the Drupal forums.

Thanks again
