I have been using CKFinder successfully with the same config for two years. Ever since people started using IE9, things go wrong.
With IE9 CKFinder doesn't create thumbs. It uploads the file correctly, but without thumbnails this is pretty useless. I noticed a few cases i this forum where IE9 compatibility was improved by upgrading to the latest CKFinder. I did so this weekend, but the issue remains.
Sometimes it remembers the previous CKFinder UserRole. So if I switch between roles, it still uses the settings from the first role I used. Needless to say this is a serious issue.
The problems don't occur using FF (any version) and Chrome. They never occured using IE8 or earlier. Any help is greatly appreciated. Currently the setup is pretty useless.

Re: Persistent issues with IE9
I made an error... The issue also occurs in IE8. It worked fine with IE7 and before!
Re: Persistent issues with IE9
In case of a slow web server, after the file upload, the thumbnail creation may take too much time, so you may not see the thumbnail when the files are loaded straight after the upload (to investigate it we need more details). However after refreshing, you should see all the thumbnails again.
Remembering user role sounds weird - it looks like a caching issue on the client side (in the browser).
