If you look at the error console you'll see that there's an error in ckfinder.js It seems that your ftp client didn't upload the file correctly (it's truncated). Which one are you using?
Thank you so much!! (I had tried everything and simply couldn't understand…)
Re-uploaded the file and voila! It works.
I'm using Filezilla, and I do find that sometimes that happens, but I obviously need to get better at debugging and troubleshooting.
Sorry, I'm a fool, but how do I check the error console? (Actually, disregard this – I just found it.) Still, I wouldn't have known about the truncated script – thanks so much!
Every time I see that someone has an upload corrupted by the ftp client it turns out that it's always filezilla. Some time ago I had to use a new ftp client and I tested it, but in the end I found that it's better to pay a little for a program that works as expected instead of wasting my time.

Can you explain in more detail why you are considering purchasing a license? I contacted CKSource via their contact form asking them if they could explain when I would be required to purchase a license. The response I received was to consult an attorney.
The issue here is that hiring an attorney to review the open source licenses to determine whether or not I need to purchase a license is going to cost me more than the license itself.
