Manage files on network drives (or UNC)?

Is is possible to use CKFinder to manage files and folders on a network share?

I ask because I want to be able to manage files via a web browser that live on a clustered file share and I have no intention of putting a web server on those cluster hosts.

You may have guessed I am working in an IIS/dotNet/windows world.
