Editing of text files broken in Chrome

Since Chrome v31, I have been having issues with the editing of text files via CKFinder (via the contextual menu).

The popup window appears correctly, but the content of the file seems to have all line breaks removed - all the text appears as one (wrapped) line.

I have checked the network traffic in Chrome's inspector, and the file is loaded by the connector with line breaks in place.

This behaviour started in version 31 of Chrome. It worked OK in v30 and earlier, and still works in Firefox. I have tested it on multiple computers, both Mac and Windows.
