"Copy file URL" in contextual menus?

I'm using ckfinder as a standalone file manager rather than a selector, and one thing that would be very useful is to be able to get the URL of a file (they are directly accessible). Ideally this would be just like the 'copy image address' that most browsers provide in their contextual menus. I found a couple of old bug reports/feature requests from 2008 asking to be able to add stuff like this to the menu and the response said that they would be considered for future versions. Is that now possible? Is there an API for adding menu items? Sample code? (I'm in PHP + JS).
