ColdFusion XML Request Error

I'm trying to configure the CK Finder and everytime I try to test it, I receive a javascript popup that reads. XML request error: Invalid CFML construct found on line 180 at column 1. (500). Do you want to see more info. When I click yes, i receive a screen without any helpful information. I'm using CF 8. My browser is IE 7. I will attempt to integrate with the editor, but currently, i'm simpy trying to get this to work as a standalone.
