CKFinder+CKEditor integration does not work in Chrome 5

At first I thought it was something I'm doing wrong then decided to try the demo on ckfinder.com. It looks like it's a bug.

Click on the "CKEditor Integration" sample. Click on the image icon, click "Browse Server", choose the mouse image, then lastly click OK.

Uncaught TypeError: "cannot read property "startContainer" of undefined"

I am considering purchasing a license for CKFinder and this error is stopping me from doing that. Is this something that can be fixed soon?

Before inserting image click in editor area.

this :
0) Click on the "CKEditor Integration"
1) Click in editor area
2) click "Browse Server"
3) choose the mouse image
4) click OK.

works fine

this:

2) choose the mouse image
3) click OK.

not work

this is not CKFinder+CKEditor integration, this is CKEditor Safari/Chrome focus()

Thanks. As you said, clicking in textarea prior to borrowing server prevented the error.

I'm using CKEditor 3.4 and applied the patch I got from the link you attached but it still didn't work (i.e. I still had to click in textarea first to prevent the error).

Is this bug planned to be fixed soon?

It will be fixed, but you must realize that such behavior won't be really found by an end user because when he wants to add an image, first they will click to put the cursor in the right place.

I found myself this problem last week with a different situation, but after I realized that it only happened while directly clicking my button without fist focusing the editor I moved to a different task because the user will need to put the caret in the place where he wants to add the element. Now I'll wait for a patch to be applied and then I'll forget about this issue because it's really trivial compared to any other bug, it's found only by people doing quick tests, not when the people wants to perform a task.

ckfinder will not work in the latest version of chrome!
all it does it open a phamtom windoes that will not open. it places the window in the task bar but will not allow me to open or view it?
