In the ticket that you mentioned, support for external file browsers was added to CKEditor. We hade to make some changes in CKFinder core to make it fully compatible with CKEditor - it is almost done, just needs some testing, so it'll be available soon (in ~week).
wiktor: Looking at the CKEditor nightly and recent changesets, it seems like all the pieces required for integration are coming together (e.g. CKEditor attribute for special connector behavior). Is sometime this week still a realistic estimate for new CKFinder release? *crossing fingers*
Also, forgive the newbie question, but is there any sort of "thar be dragons here" CKFinder repository or nightly build I can pull down and test ahead of an official release?
@Wiktor: Just wondering if there has been any movement on this as it's been a couple of weeks - I would also be interested in a "pre-release" version of this.
@Anyone: I've also been trying to get CKEditor working with alternative file browsers, but I can't find how to make the "Browse Server" button appear whatever I try - see my post at viewtopic.php?f=6&t=15342
Is there something obvious I'm missing here (in terms of config setting missing, or incorrect syntax?)
Is the CKFinder pre-release something stable enough for production..?
Also, I read in another thread that a future release of CKEditor will include a basic file uploader/manager... My question is, will this uploader/manager let us delete files in our folders..?
And can we have a rough estimate on when that is going to be release..? I won't start complaining if you don't make the deadline..!!! Would just like to have a rough idea, of how long I can make my client wait.!!

Re: CKFinder for CKEditor 3.0?
Great! Thank you
Re: CKFinder for CKEditor 3.0?
How soon is soon? Is it about one-two weeks or one-two months?
Doesn't work this work-around?

Here is the pre-release of CKFinder, compatible with FCKeditor 2.x and CKEditor 3.x:
[Removed links, the latest stable version compatible with CKEditor is already available]
Apologies that it took so long. Please report here any errors you find.
