CKFinder PHP permission problem when creating a new director

I am using the PHP version of CKFinder and I am getting a permissions error when creating a new directory. I can create the directory fine but once it is created I don't have the write user permisions to upload to it. I am using CKFinder on a virtual hosting server using the Plesk control panel and it seems when CkFinder creates the directory the user name and group are being set to 'apache:apache'. I know that Plesk creates it own user that the site runs under other than the apache user. I fixed the imdiate issue by updateing the user on the directory but we would like to get this issue resolved so that users can use the directories they create through CKFinder.
