CKFinder & Firefox 3.6 Issue.....

I just want to make it clear before I get into this that I'm using an older version (1.2.3).

I'm seeing an issue with Firefox 3.6 where I can't see the files at all. Works fine in other browsers & on Firefox 3.5. I saw in the changelog for 1.4.2 that there was an issue with FF 3.6, so I'm assuming that's causing the problem for me as well. I've made a lot of custom modifications to our version of CKFinder, so as of right now, I'm hesitating to make the jump to 1.4.2 (Just don't have time to make add the mods to 1.4.2)

So, I'm wondering if there is any chance that there is a patch for older versions to be able to see files.

Replace in ckfinder/core/js/ckfinder_gecko.js:
this.cv.onreadystatechange=cb;

should be:
{if (typeof this.cv.onreadystatechange!='undefined') this.cv.onreadystatechange=cb;   else this.cv.addEventListener('DOMContentLoaded',function() { d.cV() },false); }


I compared the new and old version.

Works great for FF3.6, unfortunately further breaks Safari and Chrome.

I installed CKFinder 1.4.2, but I can't see any files when using FF 3.6. In IE and chrome it works fine. Can anyone help me?

@Saev - does Firebug show any errors? Did you clear browser's cache after upgrading?

Do we know the latest on this issue? I'm using 1.4.1.1

I'm hesitant to make the change suggested by henkjan below if it's gonna cause issues in Chrome and Safari. I don't know if my client is using either of those browsers, but it still scares me.

I didn't clear my browser's cache, maybe it was the problem because I don't experience this problem anymore.

Were having the same problem with our ckfinder, it only affects macintosh versions of firefox 3.6, works for everyone else, and not all firefox 3.6 mac versions bug just most of them. There are no javascript errors, though sometimes when opening the filebrowser its constantly transferring with no done message, sometimes its done but not doing anything else. Basically its like having permissions to do everything but view files, you can upload create rename etc everything but not view files, works on every other browser version I can test against(ie6 ie7 ie8 safari chrome)

The latest version of CKFinder is 1.4.3, if you don't upgrade then it's easy to find problems, but we can't fix them again.

On the other hand, if you are running the latest version and you have problems then, please, provide the steps to reproduce it so we can fix them. For example, it's typical that problems in Firefox are due to some extension or corrupted profile, so the first step that they suggest to diagnose any such problem is to use "safe-mode" (or use a clean profile)

I've just upgraded to 1.4.3 (ASP version), because this problem is big for me.
It didn't solve the problem, though.

I reused my original config.asp file when I upgraded, since it seemed like the problem was in the js files.

I'm getting no error message - there's just no files.

The page is behind a ogin, but I can give you access by email.

Please help :-/

I also thought the upgrade did not fix the issue, but found you have to manually clear your cache - click TOOLS > CLEAR BROWSING HISTORY else the fix will not show up, as per a previous poster stated. If you install the new version you have to make sure you clear your FF 3.6 cache, or it still will appear broken.
