If I upload a file with duplicate file names the file will be renamed with parenthesis. example. banner1.gif will be renamed to banner1(1).gif if another exists. CKFinder cannot display the image with a file name that contains parenthesis. A question mark is displayed. I cannot delete or rename banner1(1).gif. If I try to rename or delete it gives me back a XML request error: OK(200) error.
Is there anything I can do to prevent the () parenthesis from being inserted on duplicates. Can I force an overwrite option to occur if a duplicate is encountered? I would prefer to overwrite the image if a duplicate is uploaded. I'm using CKFinder 1.4.1.1 with Coldfusion 9.

Re: CKFinder 1.4.1.1 cfm - Files with parenthesis causes error.
How do you fix that? Ideally I'd like to get ckfinder to setup duplicate image names with hyphens instead of parentheses:
banner-1-.gif
instead of:
banner(1).gif
Or if there's a good way to do regular expression fix or some other way just let me know.
Any ideas?

Regarding the original report about problems in ColdFusion - I couldn't reproduce it, however probably it was caused by some other issue that was fixed in CKFinder 1.4.2.
