Auto rename "abc.123.pdf -> abc_123.pdf" on upload

How is to possible to avoid this auto rename on file upload:

abc.123.pdf -> abc_123.pdf

Set

$config['CheckDoubleExtension']

to false in the configuration file.

Keep in mind that it may lead to security issue, if your server will interpret e.g. abc.php.pdf as a PHP file.
