ASP version with asp.net on server, yet no thumbnail

Hi, please help, I've been searching the forums for hours with no luck.

I have the asp version of ckfinder and I have asp.net installed on my server. What do I need to configure to get the asp.net thumbnail generator to work? I currently see that a _thumbs folder is getting created, but I receive the error "Error returned in call to Asp.Net". This is not a shared server, so I've made no changes to the CKFinderTempPath, presuming that write permissions should be all set.

I have downloaded the wizard.zip and it fails when trying to call the hello.aspx file but doesn't give any suggested fixes.

If the hello.aspx test is failing, that means that there's something wrong with asp.net, it can be due to it being disabled or a syntax error in a web.config.

If you send me a personal message with a url to test I can try to improve the wizard to provide some extra hints about this issue.

I solved it: On the ASP.Net tab in the properties of my classic asp website in IIS I had to change the ASP.Net version from [nothing] to one of the versions of .net in the list.

Better documentation of these simple configuration settings would be appreciated!

That's why asked you for an url, it's not possible to know upfront all the possible problems that can exist in a server, so we can only try to detect the problems that we have been able to reproduce.

The wizard at the very least has correctly pointed to a basic problem with your asp.net configuration, and I've never seen a situation where the asp.net version in the properties of IIS was blank. I've tested it right now and I can only switch between the installed versions, I can't set it to a blank value.

If you can set it back to a blank value and provide me with an url I can try to improve the wizard to detect that situation.

On any classic asp website that was created and operational before .net was installed on the server (a common occurrence for older classic asp sites), this will be the case.

Ok, I will try to reproduce that environment.
I guess that you are talking about windows 2000, right?
