When either one of these pulldown menu's is loaded: 'Style','FontFormat','FontName','FontSize', typing is extremely slow in Firefox.
I suppose it checks all pulldowns to know it needs to select one of the values at every keystroke, but this results in a total crawl when you type at a normal speed with one of these toolbar items loaded.
Does anyone else have this problem? I have an Athlon XP 2000 on windows xp sp2.

RE: typing extremely slow in FF
I use FireFox 1.0.2 on win2000, fckeditor 2 rc3.
Typing is slow.. but worse, the "Home" and "End" keys cannot be used, or "Shift" + "arrow" to select text, you can only select text with the mouse.
I suggest the developers to focus on the basic features for a while.
RE: typing extremely slow in FF
Shift plus arrow werks fer me. ANd typing is pretty fast. Wonder what speed box(computer) you are using?
I'm using 1.0.2, as well. Nice fast computer tho.
I'm thinking that since JS is all client based, computer speed/load is an issue for sure. You won't be running this on an 8088, so to speak.
Just my dos cents...
Maybe someone should test this and come back with 'system requirements' ?
