textbox plugin in fckeditor.

I need to have a text box in my fckeditor toolbar in which user can enter text and a button which places the text entered in the textbox into fckeditor's text area. I want to write a plugin for this purpose. I don't see any facility to create a textbox item in the fckeditor toolbar. Could anybody please help me out with this?

something like FCKToolbarSpecialCombo or FCKToolbarButton for a textbox would've been great...
