Dear all,
The custom settings of the live on line demo example showed on the website makes such a thing as including a user specific configuration file from the default configuration file.
The default configuration file http://www.fckeditor.net/fckeditor/fckconfig.js contains the following lines:
// Custom Configurations (leave blank to ignore)
FCKConfig.CustomConfigurationsPath = '/fckeditor.config.js' ;
This design forces the use of the default configuration file.
Being forced to use the default configuration file is a design issue. One cannot then use his own configuration file.
Moreover the directive values of the default configuration file overwrite the values defined in the file where the editor object is being created.
I may be wrong, but in that case, could the developers of the product, post a different on-line example on the FCKeditor website..?
In fact I dare them to post such an example that is not using the default configuration file!
It would prove me wrong, and show to all of us how to setup the editor.
Until this happens, I'm inclined to think that even the creators of the editor cannot set it up other than by using the default configuration file.
Kind Regards
Stephane Eybert
