I've put a little time into making this work with IE, so it's time to throw it out to the wolves, to see if it survives.
Improvements:
- multiple-selection using dragging
- files may be used for FCKeditor by hitting the Enter key
- drag-and-drop moving of files to directories
- multiple file deletion
- deletion using the Delete key
- directory deletion
- image resizing
- image caption editing
- shift-click multiple selection
- contextmenu adapts based on single or multiple file selection
- log of actions
- file upload button only shows when needed.
An example of an FCKeditor with the KFM as a file browser:

The plugin itself:

RE: kfm 0.2 for fckeditor
Congrats!
RE: kfm 0.2 for fckeditor
more enhancements to come.
developers and users, please read: at the moment, I'm giving this out for free. at some point, though, it will get to the point where I will need to fork it so that I can integrate it tighter into my own CMS. If this plugin is of use to you, then please help out, by either submitting patches, or submitting bugs. Both are very important.
I need these, so that I can show my company that it is in their interest to keep this free. ie; it is cheaper to sponsor one developer of a community project, than to pay for an project developed only by in-house programmers.
To do this, I will need to get some help.
So, if you're a PHP/JavaScript developer, please try out the code, and see if you can improve it. Any help is appreciated, and will help to keep the project free.

Hope you mean free software
But your text seems opensource for me...
anyway, nice idea to claim more free software, yes !
RE: kfm 0.2 for fckeditor
yup. I mean free software. I really don't like having to keep software in-house, as I feel that the more eyes there are on the code, the less bugs, and therefore higher quality there is in the code.
but - we all need to make money. I anticipate that I will have another few months to work freely on this, until I'm asked to start integrating it with version 2 of our CMS.
At that point, I won't have the time to maintain the integrated version /and/ the free version, so the free version will stagnate.
I have a few months, as we just released version 1 of our CMS to our clients, and we want to give them a bit of time to work on it before we start improving it again (see http://cmsdemo.webworkstest.com/admin/ for an example (demo, demo)).
that CMS was once free as well, but I couldn't drum up any interest in it from outside developers, so we had to bring it back under our own control.
to combat that for the KFM, I am calling on all developers to start looking at the code now. If the work on the KFM picks up, then it will be very obvious to my company that bringing it in-house again will be detrimental to its development.
Please - test, report bugs, and supply patches if you are a developer.
Frederick, sorry for taking up space on your board! it's a bit quiet in fckeditor land, though, so I feel it's probably okay to start a mildly off-topic thread (KFM is an FCKeditor plugin, so it's not too far off)
