instance___Config is undefined in IE7

I an getting a javascript error: 'bodycontent___Config' is undefined when the html editor loads in IE 7 (where 'bodycontent' is the name I assign as the instance name). Most everything works just fine in Firefox, but I can't get anything to work in IE7. Any help is appreciated.
