Hi.
I'm having some problems with the image upload function.
My domain is located on an Apache / Linux machine.
The website is located in a folder in the root of the webhotel. (don't ask why)
In that folder I have the /UserFiles/ folder.
But when I try to use the upload function the FCKeditor makes a folder in the root called "xxx/Userfiles/image/" instead of making a folder in the /userfiles/ folder in the xxx folder......
Can you follow me?

RE: image upload
Had the same problem with an Apache/Linux server. I'm using the PHP connector and I altered the following code which fixed it for me.
In the FCKeditor>editor>filemanager>browser>default>connectors>PHP>io.php file , remove the $resourceType variable (and the . in front of it) in the following line in function GetUrlFromPath(): return $GLOBALS["UserFilesPath"] . $resourceType . $folderPath ;
Also remove $resourceType (and the . in front of it) from the following line in function ServerMapFolder: $sResourceTypePath = $GLOBALS["UserFilesDirectory"] . $resourceType . '\\' ;
After doing this it worked fine for me. Of course you can change the image save directory from the default "UserFiles" to something else in the fckconfig.js file.
Good luck.
RE: image upload
I have been asking on the forum howto change the following with a number of other people. Can you please tell me the answer to how:
"After doing this it worked fine for me. Of course you can change the image save directory from the default "UserFiles" to something else in the fckconfig.js file."
What is the Variable that needs changing to make it something other than "/"
Many Thanks.
RE: image upload
The answer to changing the image save directory is in FCKeditor>_docs>contents>007.html file under Configuring the Server Directory. Essentially, you append the new location to the FCKConfig.LinkBrowserURL and FCKConfig.imageBrowserURL in the FCKconfig.js file.
For example, using PHP, to make the path point to the "images" directory you'd change the FCKConfig.LinkBrowserURL in the FCKconfig.js file to the following:
FCKConfig.ImageBrowserURL = FCKConfig.BasePath + "filemanager/browser/default/browser.html?Type=Image&Connector=connectors/php/connector.php&ServerPath=/images/" ;
You'd also do the same thing for the FCKConfig.LinkBrowserURL also:
FCKConfig.LinkBrowserURL = FCKConfig.BasePath + "filemanager/browser/default/browser.html?Connector=connectors/php/connector.php&ServerPath=/images/" ;
Of course if you use a different connector, such as ASP, you'd do the same on the appropriate line for it in the FCKconfig.js file.
On a different note, I also had problems getting the image upload/file browser to work on a Linux/Apache server and found the answer in some of the other SourceForge posts.
(Thanks everyone!)
Good luck, hope this answers your question.
RE: image upload
I'll try it when I get in front of the computer again...
Thanks for now )
RE: image upload
I have same problem as Hans has. First I modified that fckconfig.js for paths. Result is same, but directories and files are now named according to new path name I gave. Like:
server_root/docs/xxx/xxx etc.. btw.. I was wondering, should it be like:
server_root\docs\xxx\xxx etc..?? In Unix/Apache.. dunno..
After modifying io.php it does nothing.. won't event upload anymore..
Any ideas? Thanks in advantage.
RE: image upload
After mod that io.php it DOES do something.. in connectors/php -folder has appeared strange file named "core". File size is about 11MB..
It appeared after trying to upload an image.
RE: image upload
