I can confirm the FCKeditor does not work on the iPhone currently, but not sure about the rest of the popular mobile devices. It would be very useful to support as many mobile devices as possible
I'm a happy new user of FCKEditor... thank you everyone for the great product!
Can anyone comment on the future possibility of support for the iPhone iPod touch Safari browser? I suspect the answer is "not good", as the javascript implementation may be too weak to support the needs of FCKEditor, but I'm no expert in this area. I have tried the most recent build, and indeed, it does not seem to work (displays OK, but you can't click the buttons and type in the text area).
I would be happy with at least a minimal 'edit in HTML' mode... I was hoping I could at least tap the Page Source field, and sneak my way that way.
I can provide a side means in our web interface to edit the raw HTML, but would prefer to avoid this.
you do a great job so don't think we are bitching - and we know you have the new editor to roll out...will that editor or FCK become mobile enabled at some point? is it on the roadmap? many thanks
IOS doesn´t recognize numbers written with CKEditor. I try to show 91 000 000 00 with an orange color and it´s impossible and only shows it in any color if I delete the first space: 91000 000 00. It´s the same for IPHONE and IPAD.
That's probably true, but the team will not release any updates for FCKeditor, even to fix critical issues like these. FCKeditor is the Windows 95 of WYSIWYGs. If you're willing to used such an old app, you must also be willing to deal with incompatibility issues.
