how does it work

the user sees the formatted text, but why is the iframe and the hidden field for ? Is FCK writing its html code there, I would like to know where the html code is, because I would like to get rid of the newline characters in it before it is submitted. When submitted the html tags are there, but cannot trace them, when I check the textarea value or innerText.
