button images not showing up in IE

hi

i successfully integrated fckeditor in a page of mine and everything works fine on Firefox. If I load the same page in IE i get the toolbar and the textarea as well, but the Icons for all the buttons are missing - I get the rollover effects when moving the mouse over the toolbar but nothing more.
I assume that I've set up the paths and everything else correctyl 'cause it looks ok in Firefox.
When looking into my webserver's accesslogs I see that IE first is not loading any icons at all, and after some clicking around he loads some - the paths are correct and the webserver gives me a 200 OK

By the way - I get the same results when watching the provided samples with IE
