Have done some more testing on FF and found this when
FCKConfig.UseBROnCarriageReturn = true ;
If entering text within BODY section of editor:
Let say editor content starts with plain text like:
Text here
If you place cursor at end of sentence and hit CTRL one or
more times then only BR tags are inserted. GOOD
If you for example have created a simple template that let say
inserted this.
<p>Type text here</p>
If you now hit CTRL ONE time at end of sentence then one BR
are inserted and the result could be:
<p>Type text here<br />more text here</p>
BUT if you hit CTRL twice then a completely new P tag are
inserted below the previous one and result is this:
<p>Type text here<br /></p>
<p>more text here</p>
That I do not like...
**** THEN if entering text in a DIV: ****
Same thing happens as when entering text in BODY section.
Let say your template creates a DIV without the use of any P tags, then the CTRL creates only BR tags.
If you use P tag around default text as in BODY example
above then same problem happens when hitting CTRL twice.
Is it supposed to work like this?
I was hoping that when you in fckconfig.js had
"forced"
FCKeditor to use BR on CTRL by setting:
FCKConfig.UseBROnCarriageReturn = true ;
then all typed CTRL should be converted to BR even if you where typing within a P tag section.
Could anyone comment on this please.
A fix would be most welcome.
Tested on FF 1.0.6 on XP, FCKeditor 2.0.
