Not trying to sound disrepectful, just wanting to know.
Some patches have been lying at the tracker for some time like
[ 1191032 ] Editing existing <table> allowed,
[ 1155725 ] Extension: Allow changing the Toolbar without reload
and
[ 1326825 ] Allow template insertion without deleting content
Those features sound nice, and the people that can edit the source won't have any problem (until the source has changed too much since the moment the patches were wrotten) to add those features to their code, but my question is,
Why aren't added to the oficial source and no comments have been made at the patches (like saying "it doesn't work under these circumstances" or whatever).
If it is because those features aren't useful for everyone, but due to their nature of changing core files can't be considered plugins, would it be a good idea to place them in some kind of "repository" so that people can easily learn about them instead of leaving them there mixed with other patches that might be added to the official code?
Like saying: these are some features that you might like, but for the moment won't be added to the core, and so have the patches tracker with just real patches that will be applied to the following version.
I also have other little changes that they might not be interesting to the current code so I don't think that releasing them as patches is really a good idea, but other people might find them interesting for their purpouses and so I would like to know the best place to do so.
Regards.
