I've found that throwing money at stuff sometimes makes it move faster.
I've also found that it does nothing of the sort, so yrmv.
Just to clarify, some stuff came up which pushed the release out a bit. I've been super stoked with the Author of this dandy little project's release to date ratio so far... let's give him some breathing room, neh?
Or you can send him lots of little pay pals to play with and then rip 'em a new one if he don't play nice.
Or whatever. Me go back to grizzind now. Hope this helps. That tumbleweed blowing by was quite funny. Thanks! =] <subliminal message: give fredck money />
Yeah of course the author(s) should be rewarded financially for their efforts. Don't give me wrong I'm not trying to 'pressure' anyone, to the contrary.
However an OS project is just like any other project - whether you pay for it or not, if a release date is fixed, users will expect to see a release on that date. I hope you see my point of view - I'm not trying to slag anyone off - in fact I'm in the same position on some of my personal 'free' projects. I'm well placed to know it's tough to produce 'free' software.

Anyway I'm sure we'll see a release soon.
