I found that on my linux box (P4 2.8G, 1G memory) it usually takes up to 4 seconds for a command dialog (e.g. after you click a button to insert an image) to show up, while on my windows laptop (Core2 Duo, 2G) it takes less than 1 second. Both run Firefox 2.0.0.9 and connect to the same server (which runs on the linux box)
Can anyone explain why it takes so long to open the dialog on my linux machine? I don't think the operation should be computationally expensive.
Thanks
