Hi, I'm writing an user friendly filebrowser based on mcpuk idea with many more features like:
* multiuser support
* file search tool
* simple image editor
* directory tree
etc..
You can check screenshots in the project page http://sourceforge.net/project/screensh ... _id=176972 or you can take a look at the live demo here:
Standalone version:
http://hfilebrowser.herac.com.ar/demo/browser.html
With fckeditor:
http://hfilebrowser.herac.com.ar/test.php
its in pre-alpha version, so I think I will be releasing version 0.1 this week... one thing I need to do, is test it in IE, as I worked only with firefox.
cheers,
Hernán

RE: User-friendly filebrowser
ooh!
I'll be keeping an eye on that one! pretty. For comparison, please check out http://kfm.verens.com/
it was mentioned a while ago that all file-browser authors should get together and work on one unified one.
personally, I like the competition - it encourages me to get stuff done!

RE: User-friendly filebrowser
I don't know how many filepickers are out there counting this one and for sure I can't tell what are the differences between each other, which ones are properly reviewed for security, which ones are able to work with several server languages, which ones are outdated and abandoned...
