Upload freezes (RC2)

Using ASP. I installed FCK without touching any settings at all. FCK created the upload-folders itself so I wonder why it doesn't work.

When I try to upload an image (any), the text "Upload a new file in this folder (Upload in progress, please wait...)" freezes on my screen - nothing happens. Though, something has been done. The image-filename is visible in the browser but the size of the image is 1KB.

Same happens when I try to upload files.

I can see in the forum that nobody has any props uploading, so I hope somebody can help me!

My client was having a similar problem with fckeditor. It turned out they had created a folder that contained characters that weren't web-server-friendly (&, etc) and I think that was the problem (I'm looking into a workaround for this, or at least a better error message). What's the name of the directory you're uploading to and the file you're uploading? Does it only happen with this particular file or all files?

In the root of my web is the FCKeditor-folder and fck made these folders in the root:
/UserFiles/Files/
/UserFiles/Flash/
/UserFiles/Image/
/UserFiles/Media/

and it's here fck tries to upload. There is, as far as I can see, no non-friendly web-server characters. Hmmm... Should I try to change the upload folders just to try it out?

same here. it's throwing some sort of odd exception in .net, but I can't figure it out.

Sometimes I can get it to work if I try to re-upload the same file again. it will rename the file and then carry on just fine. further uploads seem to work after that. Not sure if that's just something unique to me or ??
