Toolbar option to switch to fullsize

Is there an toolbar feature or option to expand the current editor area or have it appear in a standalone pop-up fullsize to allow editing in a larger window ?

I thought an earlier version of the editor supported this or I may be confusing it with another project but it was a very usefull feature.
