You know it is sad that they still offer no support for Opera 9. Opera 9 has has the ability since October of last year but for some reason they continue to purposefully exclude Opera.
So, if you need a WYSIWYG Rich Text editor that supports the same browsers as FCKEditor AND include support for Opera you might want to use http://tinymce.moxiecode.com/ instead.
Maybe if enough people switch from FCKeditor to TinyMCE they will get off their butts and add support for Opera 9. It only takes a few small edits to the startup to add support. They have know about this for many months but for some reason apparently hate Opera enough to continue purposefully excluding it. Oh, the beta argument doesn't work anymore either.

RE: Still no Support for Opera
If you want it to work so much in Opera, then try being constructive, instead of destructive, in your criticism.
If you are a coder, then jump in, try to get the code working a little better in Opera, and announce your work.
Open Source projects thrive on help.

RE: Still no Support for Opera
Wow, opera has an editable html area ability now. An editor is a whole lot more than that, and FCK has very specific custom code for preloading scripts etc that were causing problems.
Maybe you could work on it instead of whinging!
RE: Still no Support for Opera
Of course the OP won't try to help providing Opera support, as he's problably unable to even read the simplest of javascripts. What he lacks in knowledge he more than makes up for it in ridiculous bravado, insulting the good people who have help build one of the best HTML wysiwyg editors on the market.
As for the 'they' moniker, this clearly shows the OP has zero understanding of Open Source and what it stands for.
Time for him to STFU I reckon.
RE: Still no Support for Opera
What I find odd is how another Open Source Editor, the one I listed above, added Opera support for Rich Text Editing within a couple of weeks of Opera 9 beta being made available. This was around 8 months ago.
You would think that in 8 months time the programmers for FCKEditor would have been able to add the ability.
Here is something else to think on. I posted a quick fix that enabled support for Opera 9 back in February. It was a very simple change in the browser detection code. Even then MOST of the editors functionality was available.
It really wouldn't take much for them to add Opera 9 support to their editor. The only conceivable reason I can think of for them to not add support is because they just do not like Opera for some reason. Especially when there are other Rich Text editors that currently support Opera 9.
BTW, for the two people who are not members of any project on Source Forge you can take me to task on programming when you actually contribute to something.

Stephantual, you might want to download them and learn something about Open Source programming. You end up looking silly when you don't backup your comments with a little research about the person you are bashing.

"You would think that in 8 months time the programmers for FCKEditor would have been able to add the ability."
That is not the way free software works. It is not "they", not an annonymous something that does the coding. It is human beeings who donate some of their time to a project - and you who can participate by donating some of your time. The words you are choosing don't let me think, that you acknoledge other peoples work. Please try to be a bit more polite.
"Click on my name to see the projects I am a member."
Great. Sounds a bit like "see my big dick".
Though I don't use any of your three projects, I do appreciate your work. I just would whant to advice you that you should not talk so big.
RE: Still no Support for Opera
you know, sourceforge is not the be-all-and-all of open source programming.
I am a member of two groups (JSquash and KWebMail), yet have not contributed much time or effort to either of them yet. However, I believe that if you did a little research on me, you'd find that I've thrown a bit of OS work out to the world that is not registered on SF.
Calm down, and stop demanding that "they" fix something that /you/ want fixed.
"they" will fix it when "they" have the time or inclination to do so, and that is /not/ depending on your timetable.
Oh - and don't pick on people that you see as not contributing anything. Discussion is a form of contribution. In fact, discussion can be more important than code, sometimes.
