From what I read before, there were some significant reasons why FCK was proving difficult to convert.
Wow, opera has an editable html area ability now. An editor is a whole lot more than that, and FCK has very specific custom code for preloading scripts etc that were causing problems.
The problem with projects like FCKeditor, is in their very nature. They are seens as 'plug and play' modules, and therefore attract what I call the 'wrong crowd' - AKA wannabe programmers who think they are 'geeks' because they managed to write a little PHP app following step by steps examples from the 'web for dummies' books.
Of course the OP won't try to help providing Opera support, as he's problably unable to even read the simplest of javascripts. What he lacks in knowledge he more than makes up for it in ridiculous bravado, insulting the good people who have help build one of the best HTML wysiwyg editors on the market.
As for the 'they' moniker, this clearly shows the OP has zero understanding of Open Source and what it stands for.
I guess you have noticed, that TinyMCE is a little bit less complex that FCKeditor. I don't know what the issues where with your fix. Maybe you can help to solve these issues.
"You would think that in 8 months time the programmers for FCKEditor would have been able to add the ability."
That is not the way free software works. It is not "they", not an annonymous something that does the coding. It is human beeings who donate some of their time to a project - and you who can participate by donating some of your time. The words you are choosing don't let me think, that you acknoledge other peoples work. Please try to be a bit more polite.
"Click on my name to see the projects I am a member."
Great. Sounds a bit like "see my big dick".
Though I don't use any of your three projects, I do appreciate your work. I just would whant to advice you that you should not talk so big.
"BTW, for the two people who are not members of any project on Source Forge you can take me to task on programming when you actually contribute to something"
you know, sourceforge is not the be-all-and-all of open source programming.
I am a member of two groups (JSquash and KWebMail), yet have not contributed much time or effort to either of them yet. However, I believe that if you did a little research on me, you'd find that I've thrown a bit of OS work out to the world that is not registered on SF.
Calm down, and stop demanding that "they" fix something that /you/ want fixed.
"they" will fix it when "they" have the time or inclination to do so, and that is /not/ depending on your timetable.
Oh - and don't pick on people that you see as not contributing anything. Discussion is a form of contribution. In fact, discussion can be more important than code, sometimes.
RE: Still no Support for Opera
If you want it to work so much in Opera, then try being constructive, instead of destructive, in your criticism.
If you are a coder, then jump in, try to get the code working a little better in Opera, and announce your work.
Open Source projects thrive on help.

Maybe you could work on it instead of whinging!

Time for him to STFU I reckon.
