Special character definition

Hello, Is it possible to edit or define custom special chracters?
If so, how or where?

Same problem here. config.entities does not seem to have any effect for accented czech characters such us:

ěščřžýáíéůúňďóť and the respective capitals...

Especially the character "ž" causes a lot of troubles as it is incorrectly decoded and therefore when you edit it the second time and you will get "Å¾" instead.
