Simple Plugin

Hello ,

I am trying to create a simple plugin in order to create a simple button on the toolbar ........Basically, I want a button that would work just like the BOLD button ... but it would have a different icon and a it would produce a different tag instead of <strong> ...Any ideas on where to start ?
