Saved html via FCKeditor balloons

Using FCKeditor 2.0 with Firefox.

Everything LOOKS fine unless I look at the raw html, but if I save out a textarea into my MySQL database and then pull it out for editing or previewing, stuff like this happens...

<font face="\"\\"\\\\"Times\\"\"" new="\"\\"\\"\"" roman="\"\\"\\"\"">Thank you for your support.

You can see how things get quickly out of hand...

Any idea how to fix this?

Probably this is due to doing some type of html encoding. Just a few days ago someone posted about using htmlentities (php) and how to be sure the data was encoded right.

Don't have the link but I think that's the broblem.
