I first used RC2, and though to upgrading to FC, but...
In rc2, on a normal format (using <p>) when pressing two times on return key after THE FIRST paragraph, you was creating a second paragraph and the editor rendered as so.
But in FC, when you do the same thing, it renders as if was only on the next line. It's just after you try to add another paragraph that the second and the third paragraph render correctly with the space they should have between them.
To test it, go to source and write "<p>Some text</p>" (w/o quotes) then go back to normal view, put your cursor at the end line of first line, then try to add a prapgraph by pressing two times return key. It seems like it only added a <br>. Then try to add another paragrph. It only now that it looks ok.
(At least in my config, Firefox 10.2 linux)
Also, even if the editor creates new paragraph, it leaves an unnessary <br /> tag a the end of the paragraph. Could it be removed ?

RE: Rendering paragraph problem in Gecko
I just need to add, when trying to create the second and third paragraph in my exemple, add somme texte each time too.
RE: Rendering paragraph problem in Gecko
(In my explaination assume the default format was set to 'normal')
The reason I would like to see this problem solved is that my users are not techies guys, just low end users that don't know about html.
So, for them, the normal way to create a second paragraph is to press 2 times the enter key. But, as I said earlier, when doing that, nothing happens. So they will press fo a third time the enter key. They will then write the second paragraph. Then, they will press enter key 2 times to create the third paragraph. At this moment, a strange and larger space will be added between the first and the second paragraph (it's the rendering of the real paragrah space that finally appear. The one the user was seeing was a <br> that was created by the third key press of enter). Doing that, the html result will be disastrous and looks like this:
<p>Some text<br/>
</p>
<p><br/>
Second paragraph<br/>
</p>
<p> </p>
I know that this will happens with my users because they act by what they see on screen, not on html logic.
I hope my problem is clear. I used different version of firefox to test this, so the problem doesn't come from the browser. Even more, with those same browser version and with FCKeditor FC2 the problem doesn't occur.
Also, why is there these <br/> at the end of my paragraphes ?
I'm a little confused why those problems have not been exposed before, and why nobody replied. I mean, I'm surely not alone having this problem...
RE: Rendering paragraph problem in Gecko
It's why it only happens when trying to create paragraph #2. The space between all other next paragraphs render normally when creating them.
But I'm still stick with this bug because I can't permit to put some element before my first prapgraph....
RE: Rendering paragraph problem in Gecko
Using Shift+Enter is consistant, but just Enter after the first paragraph seems to do nothing right away, then onces you start your new line it takes effect (but at that time you dont want it to because you've tried to deal with the issue by manually adding line breaks)
