Quotations in Hyperlink are being escaped

I've tried various things to get this to work but i'm still having trouble. When ever I use the editor to insert a link into my textbox it works fine. Except when I hit save it transforms the url to:
<a href="\&quot;http://mywebsite.com\&quot;">Link</a>.

I can't for the life of me seem to figure out where this is happening in the code.
Any suggestions?
