Paste in Firefox, Mozilla, Netscape problem

Hi,

I've just discovered that pasting text while using Netscape, Mozilla or Firefox outputs an empty box entitled [Javascript Application]. Is there a fix to this or a simple workaround? I really would like my users to be able to paste their text correctly. The problems doesn't seem to occur with Internet Explorer. Any advice would be appreciated.

I've experienced the same issue in 2.1.1, specifically in Firefox on Windows if that helps. This has kept me from upgrading to 2.1.1 so far.

I can paste using 2.1.1... maybe there is a config option wrong somewhere? I used ctrl+v, as I haven't changed my broser cut'n'paste settings, but it seemed to work as expected... FF 1.0.7 on XP Pro... the online demo works too... hmmm... I guess check any customizations performed maybe?

The thing is that if you update something, you have to clean up the browser's cache. Many problems are visible only because of the different script versions.

Yeah. A solution to this would be to have a var in the fckconfig.js that can be either static or random. Default it to random, and attach it to the end of the URL that requests the JS pages.
Someone who knows their config is stable could set it to the static value, so it is then cacheable.

Would probably cut down on the "x is broke" posts...

Yeah, coz it's really difficult to hold the CTRL key while making a refresh/reload of the page. ;-)
Just for record: I am not speaking about the production status but development.

I don't think this problem is a cache issue, but something else. I have only seen it in Firefox, and has nothing to do with caching.

I do get it in the fckeditor.net demo as well.

So it is reproduce-able? Can you post a recipe?

I still kinda think it's a config/loader issue, as I haven't run into the problem, and I use FF alot.

I'm using the CF or JS version of the "loader" tho... have you tried using the JavaScript vs. ASP or whatnot?
